The Republican National Committee Finally Recognizes This

The RNC will vote to bar the GOP presidential nominee from legal disputes

The Republican National Committee is planning to amend its rules at forthcoming party meetings to bar the Republican presidential nominee from participating in discussions sponsored by the Commission on Presidential Debates.

RNC chairperson Ronna McDaniel sent a letter Thursday to the co-chairs of the opposition committee stating that the committee had not seriously considered changes to the RNC’s demand for the way presidential disputes run in the general election. The RNC expressed its concerns in a June letter to the council and offered suggestions on how to improve the negotiations.

“Unless the CPD appears to be seeking to make the necessary changes to restore its credibility with the Republican Party as a fair and impartial party, the RNC will do everything in its power to ensure that Republican presidents are given the opportunity elsewhere,” McDaniel said. wrote in the letter.

“As a result, the RNC will initiate a process of reforming the Republican Party Laws at our fifth Summit to prevent Republican nominees from participating in the CPD-sponsored talks,” he said.

He should have done this years ago, but much later than before.

This is the right thing to do.

Cross was sent from American Lookout.
