Pro Kabaddi 2021: “We see Deepak Hooda as a shooter here” – Jaipur Pink Panthers coach describes change of captaincy

Jaipur Pink Panthers coach Sanjeev Baliyan discussed how the captain’s change has helped all Deepak Hooda players play his natural game on the mat.

After scoring twice in their first six games, the Jaipur Pink Panthers changed their captain style before the game against Puneri Paltan. Defender Sandeep Dhul took control of Hooda.

The franchise from Jaipur has done very well under Dhull so far, recording repeated victories.

He defeated Puneri Paltan and later became the first team to defeat Dabang Delhi KC in PKL 8. Hooda watched Jaipur in their match against Delhi, scoring nine points.

Discussing the change of captaincy, Jaipur Pink Panthers coach, Baliyan, told reporters at a press conference after the Delhi match:

“This was our eighth game. Deepak was a little stressed after one or two games. That’s why we forced him to change captain, which is why we see Deepak as a shooter. Arjun Deshwal will be working with him now. Deepak has done a special job for us tonight.”

Arjun Deshwal led the attack on the Jaipur Pink Panthers in the first seven games, winning the Super 10 in all games.

However, he did not do well against Dabang Delhi KC. Deepak Hooda stepped in and provided the team with eight points and a bonus.

Fans should note that Hooda was not part of the starting line-up with Puneri Paltan. It would be exciting to see if they continue to lead Jaipur shows in the upcoming games.
