Former NFL player Clinton Portis has been sentenced to six months in federal prison and six months in prison for his role in the fraudulent NFL program.
In September, Portis pleaded guilty to fraudulently receiving $ 100,000 after giving false information on unlicensed medical equipment.
Critics allege that 15 former players have rallied to raise $ 3 million to reimburse medical treatment and medical equipment that has not actually been purchased.
Former NFL player Robert McCune is said to have been the leader who claimed on behalf of the players to reduce the amount of money he returned.
“Portis knew that what McCune offered instead was false and fraudulent or he knew that what McCune offered instead was false and deceptive and he deliberately ignored it,” the treaty said.
