SHANGHAI (Reuters) – President Xi Jinping has called for China’s digital economy to protect its “unhealthy” development as Beijing seeks to boost its share of the country’s growth.

In an article published by the ruling Communist Party of Qiushi on Saturday, Xi asked to look at major areas including integrated circles, exhibitions, communications equipment and intelligence.

China needs to “grow a number of businesses with global competitiveness, as well as advanced environmental companies that have control over corporate chains, in order to form high corporate corporations around the world,” he said.

“We need to realize that compared to the world’s largest and most powerful economies, China’s digital economy is large but fragile, and fast but not overpowering.”

Xi also called for legislation and suspension to address barriers to reform and to prevent “oppression and economic mismanagement” in the second world economy.

“In the course of rapid development, China’s digital economy has also exposed unsustainable and unsustainable crops that not only undermine digital economic development, but also violate laws and regulations and pose a threat to national security and the economy,” he said. he said.

China must also promote national security, with a focus on fast-tracking digital warning systems, prevention and control measures to ensure the security of key technologies, key industries and facilities, technology, and emerging businesses.

Xi’s case follows a plan released by the Chinese prime minister on Wednesday for digital economic growth, aimed at boosting the global GDP share by pushing technologies like 6G and large data centers.

The plan also highlighted the difficulties combined with a lack of technical skills in key areas and weak leadership.
